Semajae , also known as HAIRBYSEMAJAE is a, Cosmetologist a Los Angeles native redefining the standards of hair care and artistry for over 13 years. 

Raised as the youngest of six siblings, grew up surrounded by rich cultural diversity -- which deeply influences her passion for educating, creating, and empowering through her work. The journey began at the intersection of art and media. She honed her skills in acting, singing, modeling, and dancing while attending the Black Eyed Peas Peapod Music and Arts Academy. 

Further refined her craft through the prestigious Get Lit Youth Poetry Program. These experiences not only shaped her voice as an multi-disciplinary artist but, also ignited her mission to inspire others through creative expression. Semajae later went on to start her own community organization Providing Platforms LA - for music art and recreational activites and eventually graduated from El Camino College as a high honor student,  earning her License of Cosmetology and Barbering soon, demonstrating her dedication to excellence and achievement.

 Semajae also captivates audiences with her evocative storytelling and performances, using her words to shed light on important social issues and celebrate the beauty of human resilience, through poetry. This dedication to empowerment extends beyond poetry and into her work as a Hair-Care professional, where she discovers a new medium to educate and uplift others.

Her Mission is to educate individuals of all backgrounds on the unique needs of curly and textured hair. Her expertise spans combing out Matted Hair, Loc Maitenence, Natural Hair care, and Personalized Hair Care Regimens. Her Mission is to empower men and women to embrace their natural hair with confidence.  Hair by Semajae, has empowered countless people to embrace their texture while providing them with the tools and knowledge to maintain healthy, thriving curls. Her commitment to excellence and innovation earns her features in notable publications such as the Los Angeles Times,  VOYAGE LA, Canvas Rebel,  and El Camino College Newsletter.

Throughout her career, she has seamlessly weaved together her passions for serving, speaking and educating creating a legacy rich in artistry and empowerment. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the connection between self-expression and self-love, and her impact extends far beyond the chair.
